Conex has based it's gland design as well as testing philosophy on the performance requirement of BS 6121 : 1989 and EN 50014 : 1992 adding new criteria necessary to meet particular need.

Glands are made in standard Brass to BS 2874 or in alternative materials like Aluminium (BS 1474) and Stainless Steel (A2 / A4).

Generally glands are supplied in natural Brass finish. Other finishes like electro-Tin, Nickel and Cadium can be provided.

|
Glands are normally supplied with ISO metric threads to BS 3643 pt. 2 ISOR68 series. Upto and including 75 mm dia. 1.5 mm constant pitch is used. Alternative entry threads like PG / NPT / ET etc. also available.

|
Electrical continuity is normally achieved via the screwed entry in to metal boxes. For the situations where earth short circuit protective equipment demands positive earth connection a range of integral earth glands can be provided.
